More Land along the Altamaha Protected from Development

Altama Plantation was one of the last large tracts of land in the coastal counties of the Altamaha River. The vast property is now protected from development and will be protected and managed in perpetuity! All together, some 4,100 acres of land along the Altamaha River has been set aside for public hunting and fishing and will act as a safeguard for gopher tortoises and longleaf pines.
