A Bit of Romance to Support the Altamaha Riverkeeper

From St Simon's Ocean Lodge Rooftop you can see the ocean, where the freshwater from the Altamaha River mixes with saltwater from the Atlantic to create one of the most productive ecosystems in the world.

Riverkeeper on the Rooftop at Ocean Lodge on St Simons on May 25 was a romantic setting to support protection of our beautiful coast. As the wonderful sounds of the Marshgrass Band filled the salt air, guests enjoyed not only the ocean view and coastal breeze, but the best of local cuisine, an auction offering coastal adventures and gifts, and a beautiful video produced by Kurt Stradtman.

It was a wonderful event and the Altamaha Riverkeeper thanks everyone who made the event possible and everyone who attended. We especially would like to thank the Ocean Lodge staff.

Ocean Lodge Manager, Chris Hardy said, "The party for the Altamaha Riverkeeper was a way to for us to support stewardship of our area. All of us in our community rely on a healthy coastal environment and we want to do our part to keep it that way."
