  Bull Bats in the Ohoopee Dunes, oil painting of the Ohoopee Dunes Natural Area by noted landscape painter Phillip Juras. The dunes, thought to have originated by high winds during drought periods in the Pleistocene Age, are comprised of a series of inland sand dunes found on the Little Ohoopee River. The Ohoopee Dunes ecosystem is the only area in Georgia where one can find the sand hill rosemary, a rare perennial aromatic shrub.
  Folk Art Alligator by Chain Saw Artist Thomas Bland from Reidsville, GA  
Self taught, Thomas Bland has been practicing his craft for the last 5 years and attends chain saw carving events all over the country. Thomas says every night he thinks of what he wants to carve and the next morning he can't wait to go to work. His subjects include coons, fish, alligators, shrimp, armadillos, beavers, pigs, cows, and ducks all out of indigenous wood from the Altamaha Watershed. Donated by Thomas Bland 912-237-1673

A featured vignette in the play, on stage at the new McIntosh High School auditorium, features the dual between Button Gwinnett from Liberty Co. signer of the declaration of independence and General Lachlan McIntosh. Another production will occur in the fall. There will be at least two plays a year. Value: $200

Large Metal Wading Bird Sculpture by artist Doug Makemson

Makemson works from his farm based studio at the headwaters of the Oconee River on Hardman Creek in Jackson County. This whimsical eight foot tall baby heron will delight your family and guests and maybe even bring in some of the live birds to see what's for dinner on the coast. Makemson's work has been displayed widely. He is currently working on two large dog sculptures that were commissioned by the Atlanta Airport. Doug Makemson selected exhibitions
