Rayonier applies to renew its discharge permit

Rayonier has applied to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) to renew its waste water discharge permit to the Altamaha River. The Altamaha Riverkeeper is seeking volunteers to review and assess the permit application and related materials. If you have expertise in engineering, water quality, biology or related fields, you can help ARK provide EPD with information to improve the permit and reduce the pollution Rayonier now puts in the Altamaha River.

The links below contain Rayonier's initial filing. EPD is reviewing these documents and will issue a draft permit which will go out for public review. No information is available on when EPD plans to issue the draft permit.
