Ohoopee River
Water testing in the Ohoopee River Basin under the watchful eye of the Altamaha Riverkeeper. Water samples are tested for nutrients (phosphates, nitrates) and fecal coliform. High levels of nutrients from sources such as sewage treatment plants and fertilizer from golf courses, lawns, and gardens are harmful to the health of rivers and streams.
